Denise Levertov Plaque

I’ve never attempted anything like this before, but have had some potential poetry plaques that were discussed, but plans fell through. This one is going to happen. I am working with Jayne DeHaan of the Rainier Valley Rotary and Sam Hamill to honor one of the best poets to ever call Seattle home, Denise Levertov. The more I look at her work and life, the more I see how she was a very courageous human, espousing a poetics that I would call prophetic as well as a body of work that is world-class. Please consider a contribution to the cause and please consider attending the 4th Cascadia Poetry Festival, Nov 3-6, 2016, with panels, readings and a ritual walk to her grave, as we honor the memory and legacy of Denise Levertov.
